No, can't say I have. What's it like?

Hearts have to be boiled for ages to make them tender. Even then they are a bit chewy.

They don't have a particularly strong flavour which is why they are usually (or the way I always had them) cooked stuff with sage and onion.

I couldn't be bothered now to do it. I just had to eat them as a kid or go without food.

I like liver and bacon, calfs livers good, with onion gravy . . .yum

good black pudding is lovely, but not the cheap shit from the supermarket in a plastic tube

I've had sheeps hearts for breakfast . . . . very very rich, and an acquired taste, but quite pleasant with ketchup

As we are on alternative food groups, what about snails? Always one of those treats I look forward to on trips to France or Belgium.

I tried them, all done in garlic; but although ok, I wouldn't want to eat them again.

One thing that always worries me about White Pudding...If they use blood for black pudding, which bodily fluid do they use for white:eek:

try getting a lamb's brain from the butchers,
slice it really thin
dab it in palin flour
shallow fry in butter with a little garlic

mmmmm second only to black pud.

If I have a Gutbuster from the all night cafe, I swap my black pudding for an extra sausage, my mate swaps his for a cup of Tea

Aaah, the Market Diner.

'Mixed Grill, no tomatoes, extra mushrooms if you please. '

'Cuppa tea mate?'

'You f***ing knows it'.

The best 4.20 you'll ever spend.

In my understanding, a Market Special comes with tea and a slice of white bread INCLUDED in the price. However, the Gutbuster and variations thereupon (Megabuster, mixed grill etc) do NOT, and therefore tea needs to be purchased separately. The Market Special does NOT include chips.
