reply from him:

Hi there - it was a misunderstanding mate! We were listing a Brighton Top, and a Wimbledon Top at the same time. The Person who listed the item mixed up the "no longer exists" information - and thought that it was meant for the Brighton listing! We tried amending the information, however, since the top had already been bidded on, that option had been erradicated! I assure everyone - this has been an honest mistake, however humerous....

I also told him in my mail that the shirt wasn't rare. Which is isn't, as the club probably sold 30K of them, and were hawking them on the club site fairly recently.

Wimbledon, eh? That's interesting, here's the reply he sent to me:

Hi there, I appreciate your concerns. We sell loads of football tops on ebay, and can ssure you that this has been an honest mistake. The person listing the item misread information I had given her to put into a seperate item. The "no longer exists" information I can assure you, was not meant for this listing - but instead, for a Meadowbank Thistle top we had listed on a Buy It Now option. Reporting me to ebay has upset me, as I am a relatively new user. However, I understand that there are people like you, who know no sense, and instead jump into the deep end to bring conflict into another person's life. We tried changing the information today - however, this is not possible after an item has been bidded on. If you have any more concerns, I would appreciate you comming straight to me. Otherwise, feel free to waste my, and ebays time, some more

Email going back.....

Thank you for your e-mail. We've been getting this all day mate, and rightly so. We didn't even realise the mistake. The information was input into the listing by somebody else (who was taking care of it all for us). It was meant to go into listings for a meadowbank thistle top, and wimbledon top.

We have changed the information on the listing, and hope this makes up for any upset caused.

As for the top being rare - being a centenery top, we assumed, and assumed wrongly.

Thank you for contacting us though, and for remaining calm, when others haven't.

Seems it might have been a set of "dead teams" shirts they were selling, and fired the Brighton shirt in with it....

Are there any dodgy free porn sites he can be registered with

I'd leave the lad alone now. He's used the "add information" function to put the entry in again, minus the "no longer exists".
