Unless we are looking to sit back and watch Liv pick us apart,.. we desperately need to pick someone with pace out wide as an out ball for the defence and m/f ... my choice would be to pick Veltman as right back and Connolly to operate as a deputy wide attacking player, he is skilful enough and has pace... we would just need a m/f awareness to support Veltman when defending.

Have to do something to stop their fullbacks
Bombing on all the time and outnumber them in midfield so we have options to break their press by playing thru midfield quickly or being a little more direct and bypassing midfield

Leicester tried to play long all the time out of the back and it’s not their game - if he was gonna do that then Maddison shouldn’t have been on the pitch

Connollys pace could cause TAA problems especially coming of a muscle injury and maupay would be great at winding Robertson up

Plenty of pace in this team and a decent mobile target man now which means it’s easier to play this formation .

It’s a free hit and we’ve got nothing to lose - let’s have a go and see what happens UTA
