Our best players in recent years (loan players included):

Roberts

Watson
McShane
Cullip
Ingimarsson

Carole
Sidwell
Currie

Kazim-Richards
Knight
Zamora

Now that would be a decent team.

With Jarrett and Carole having to provide cover as auxilliary full backs in that team NS, they'd be ruthlessly exposed down the flanks. I'd back us against them.

The point is we have let various players go for one reason or another who would/should walk into the current team IF properly managed..

Molango wouldn't walk into any team. He might stumble, trip over, and crawl into one, but he certainly wouldn't walk.

And I would prefer Ward etc. The idea was 'recent'

Half of those players you mention would not site mis-managment as the reason they left. Out of the 11 you mention only 5 would say that, and its debatable whether any of those 5 would have proper grounds for an argument.

Does that make any sense?? I dont to me!!

Talking of Old Boys, they're showing the 1983 Final on ESPN tonight. Wonder if, like the commercial DVD, it's a Man U w**k-fest or a genuinely impartial look back.

And thanks TGC for my copy all those months ago - bloody excellent.
