Evening all.
If any of you could spare some time to help us test a new web site it would be much appreciated.
We know it's a bit ugly and some of the graphics overlap, please ignore that (we intend to fix the templates last, don't worry). What we need to know is what function don't work on the site, so this is where you guys come in, please try and complete one or more of the following tasks:
>sign up as a user
>add an event in the calender e.g. a gig or a club night you know about.
>add the details of a brighton band or dj or group etc
>put an item up for sale in the free classified ads section.

BUT.
Please try to only add real Brighton related content related to music.

When stuff goes wrong please email us or post it on the forum.

the site is at:
beta.b-mu.co.uk

thanks in advance.

once the site is ready it's going to be pretty much handed over to the people of Brighton under the control of community moderators.

features to come soon:
mp3 - any user can post up to 3 tracks they have composed themselves. Other users can listen to the tracks 3 times then have the option to buy the track direct from the artist.

The free state of Kemp Town
Looks pretty nice.

Signed up although I don't have anything to add I'm afraid.

Will check back in the future though. Particularly interested in the free ads.

I should add a problem we know about is in the user database. This particular problem means users have to sign up seperately for the forum.
We will get this fixed.

Techie stuff
The problem arose because the site has had to be re built recently using a different CMS package. We are having problems importing the old forum database, so far we have been able to import threads but not replies, we will get there though, apologies for the delay.

A really minor thing...
when you sign up it should be 'Create Your Account' rather than clicking on 'new user'
Also once you've signed up the underline of website administrator runs into the blank text, its the little things that matter :D

+ http://beta.b-mu.co.uk/index.php/admu/ cnt access the extra info

Thanks alot chaps.
We'll get onto these points today.
We are getting closer to launch everyday with your feedback, cheers.

I suppose the thing to remember about this site is that it is for you, so do let us know anything that you dont like and we'll try and sort it now.

Once again thanks for your support, this is pretty much the only forum in Brighton where people have intelligence! The response we've had in other forums has been terrible.
Come on you seagulls.
