millwall fans have 1000 tickets which they have to collect on a service station on the m1,they will then be bussed in from their to elland road with the motorway and roads being shut.

i imagine the most that will happen is leeds chavs will chuck stuff at the buses and take videos like last time and there will be lots of 'throat-cutting' gestures and the like in the ground.

I would expect the police were jumping up and down with joy that they are meeting in the semi's, they have already had two to sort out this season and the away allocations will be minimal. Compare this to 50K-60K Leeds and Millwall at Wembley on a Sunday afternoon.

Yep a Leeds vs Millwall final would have been a Met nightmare.

but that is tasty to the 'yoof' of today.

the allocations for the fans won't change, which is unfortunate. leeds have processed them but as with the league game the met will opt for the 'safer' solution which is to let the ticketless few (or plenty!) into the ground rather than have them milling about. we are away season ticket holders so got our tickets. bit mixed about whether i even want us to go up though.

The two sets of fans fighting each other is not the biggest concern of the met at the london fixture, by a long chalk.

Read somewhere (think in the sun) that Millwall fans have to collect tickets at the services on the motorway and then get a police escort up there

How come Senor?

The met have never taken their boots off the collective neck since the birmingham play off game in 2002 when they basically demanded the club was closed down until someone who is not a f***ing imbecile in scotland yard did a bit of research, and found out they couldnt.

This season they have baton charged dispersing millwall fans (at home!) on horseback after the leicester game as they were not moving along as they liked amongst other incidents. now the Ian Tomlinson business (it has been bought up in chanting a few times since it happened) has caused a lot of bad feeling. SWP are in the car park pre match since, trying to whip up people into having a go at the police but its pushing an open door.

the met throwing their weight around at this game could very well lead to a lot of trouble. if it was scunthorpe it would still be a problem for them trying to police a home crowd at a play off game, let alone leeds.

The Police will be delighted that this is only a Semi-Final game, and not the Final. If it would have been a final, then it would have been un-policeable. There was even talk about getting some troops back from Afghanistan for it.

I've heard through the grapevine that, they've been given 1000 tickets each. But the police can't stop fans travelling. I expect to buy a ticket, you will have to travel on one of the clubs coaches, meaning advanced paying.

I would love to see the Police Presence for this one, sadly that is not possible. Both sets of fans will be wrapped up from day 1, I should imagine.

I expect the Police have got one eye on a Preston v Burnley final too.

there are no travel restrictions on leeds fans. the only bother we get is convincing the old bill we are not all going back to leeds when they force us to london bridge.

about 500 tickets left at elland road now. should be a good one, especially if millwall crack on and shift their allocation.
