It was definitely a close call between Naranjito & Pique for me but had to go with Pique as 86 was the first WC I really remember.

The reason I'd probably go with the France '98 mascot; because that was the first World Cup I remember.

I went with France, the only mascot I actually remembered when going through the pictures (although I'm a bit young for anything pre-1990).

Yeah, that was faintly weird, either have no clothes, or fully dressed. Don't make the man run around with no trousers on.

Mind you, the Germans have the highest number of naturists in the world, as a percentage of their population. So it sort of makes sense.
