Who was your favourite NUMBER 1 in that decade?

For me it has to be super Johnny KEELEY, absolutely amazing saves, and stark raving mad as well. Sold him to Oldham for £250k and his career nosedived after injury, burglary and a series of other disasters.

I only ever saw Keely play in the 80's, but as for ANY keeper in the 80s, this was the only one Acceptable

Did Groucho (Eric Steele) actually play for us in the 80's? I thought his "tiff" with Gary Williams at Old Trafford was in late 1979 and he never played again after that.

That is correct fella. My vote goes to Perry Digweed.

I did wonder about that. Assumed the list was correct though. In which case for me, no debate - Graham Moseley was the best and my favourite keeper of the 80s.

Only ever saw Keeley and Digweed. Keeley wins that contest HANDS DOWN. A great keeper and one of my all time five favourite albion players. Digweed was inconsistent, although he was excellent in the play off season.

It has to be Keeley... how he managed to be so good on a diet of lager top and Cheese and Onion crisps is a modern day miracle

Moseley , even though Steele was better but didn't play for us in the 80's.
