At a time when we had no money, he brought in players who would walk into our side now: Saunders, Connor, Penney, Eric Young - and quality old timers Worthington & Corrigan along with Jimmy Case who he inherited from the div 1 days.
That side was a very exciting one, and a regular top six outfit at this level.
