Arguably Botham's best test days were already behind him by 1986 - in fact wasn't banned for cannabis that year? So technically I'd question whether he's one of our best test match players of the last 20 years. Last 25, yes, no question.

If you are strictly looking at SINCE 1986, then I think Flintoff would make my team ahead of Botham. If you were to go back 25 years and take players in that period then it's different, but Botham post-1986 wasn't as good as Freddie, IMHO.

Play Alan Wells in the middle order, Peter Such as a spinner and Stephen Rhodes as wicket keeper (who conceded more byes than he scored runs in one Ashes series down under) and you're bang on....
