Surely, if they did it, the bars would be closed during the match anyway. I wouldn't mind not having to down my pint in 30 seconds at half time, having queued for the previous 14 minutes.

Erm, how long before:
1. Other fans complain about getting soaked in beer
2. Football fans overtake cricket with the longest plastic glass snake
3. Full pint is thrown at an away player or bench
Can't see it happening.
Unfortunately, I can see it happening.
Huge income stream for the clubs, say 30,000 crowd, sell an extra 10,000 pints at a fiver a throw (no pun intended) 50 grand, 18 times a season , that’s nearly a million extra a year. That may not be a lot for the PL clubs, but the Championship would lap it up.
Edit: 23 home games in the Championship.

I don’t think they’re closed now during the game. I may be wrong, but when I have had to go for a piss, during play they seem to be open.
Unfortunately, the current trend of chucking beer all over everyone means I’m not in favour of this. Up until that became a thing, I would have supported it wholeheartedly.
Club won't see much they don't sell the beer the catering company do
