The last reference was amusing. They were talking about their (ManCity's) big money-spending capabilities and he said "maybe they should buy Brighton" (meaning the Albion squad, not the club I don't think)
He meant the club.

Well, it seemed like it was in the context of how MC were doing on the field - but if that's what he meant I think I like the sound of that more.
What he [Chiles] actually said was;
