Can someone tell me why on the BBC Sport website in the football section, do they have under the sub heading Premier League, 'Necastle Given £100m Price Tag'. Did I dream the last day of the premier league season when they got relegated to the Championship!!!!

Also on the BBC Website:

Newcastle owner Mike Ashley has had offers of £10, Oasis tickets and a Curly Wurly after inviting offers for the Tyneside outfit by e-mail. The Magpies have been given a £100m price tag.

:lolol:

Newcastle have right pissed me off this week already.

In their statement yesterday, they said Newcastle are a club that belongs in the top 7. I'm sorry... did I dream last season when they were consistently rubbish and got relegted. Newcastle are a club that belongs somewhere between 21st and 45th. Saying anything else is a bare-faced lie.

Newcastle, like Southampton, are not a Premiership club - so why do they both claim to be. Maybe one day, if they play well, they can once again mix it with real Premiership teams such as Burnley and Wolves.

Don't think it is a cock up. The BBC keep every team under a league tag, and I think they only move them to their new league at the beginning of pre-season. We're still at the very end of last season from that point of view.

Think they change it around the time that the fixtures come out.

Annoyingly this year, we will not be top of the League 1 table when they do it.

Can't agree with you there mate. If you look at the Premier League section, they already have a table in preparation for next season including Burnley and Wolves, all currently tied on nil points.
