Shea Seger - an excellent american female vocalist. great album and excellent live (first saw her support Toploader), but she has seemed to have disappeared altogether.

Also, Toploader- but i am biased as I went to school with most of them!!

I believe that GP suffered from the same problem as Peter Perret of the Only Ones - might be a reason why they never became big. Saw them at the Dome in '77 and they were excellent.

Slightly earlier; how about Brinsley Schwartz? Never recovered from their over-hyped launch but were a pretty good band.

Could be wring but I think that Brinsley Schwatrz became the Rumour (Graham Parker's band).

To a certain extent Pop Will Eat itself. Kind of made it but should have been so much bigger.

Yeah, totally agree.

If only they had a decent vocalist..... :jester: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

It was Yoko Ono that spelt the end for that band. It somehow lost direction....
