Saints would never consider such time wasting tactics would they? Funny how Davies suddenly had to take time to place the ball absolutely perfectly and remove any loose grass from the area once Saints were 2-1 up whereas when they were losing he was content to chuck it down and kick it away as quick as possible.

I agree that doesn't make what Davis did right but I would say that over the two games, Brighton utilised time wasting tactics much more frequently.

They do do it, i was a ballboy twice in the 05/06 season, and both times we all got an explanation/demonstration of how to give the ball back to our players and theirs. All teams do it though.
