Well personally I respect the bloke for that sort of reply. There are far more arrogant, less effective and less popular MPs around than him.

Gloating will do us no good and will give further thought to our opponents about trying for a JR. We've won permission and we're all delighted but to shove it down the throats of Baker et al is pointless.

Yes, but you can't really blame people given some of his reported intemperate remarks over the stadium issue & the club.

And as far as I'm concerned no-one who opposed the stadium could EVER be the best MP Lewes has had - although I grant you when up against Tim Rat & Sir Bufton Tufton there ain't much competition!

Reading the intial email and the polite response Baker sent back, there is only one person who comes across well - and he's not the one I want to agree with
