Sorry to intrude on the celebrations but could any of your Berkshire types recommend a decent B&B in Reading. We're staying there for WOMAD and although I can find some places on the Web, I've no idea whether they're decent or a UK version of Bates Motel.

Has anyone got any ideas?

How would I know what hotels are in east Reading? What districts or postcodes should I look for in order to avoid?

Bournemouth/Reading
Avoid:

Southcote
Oxford Road
Whitley
Cemetary Junction
Some parts of Caversham (mostly nice though)

Generally the whole of West Reading...

There's absolutely millions of B+Bs so have a look on www.yell.com

Hey berkshire...I live around the corner from you (Coley Avenue...at the Castle Hill end).

Thats a 2 minute walk...I wonder if any other NSCers live closer together.
Yeah very close indeed what 1 and a bit mile or so:smokin:
Can't see what the fuss is all about on the oxford road as always walking that way late at night is pretty average to say the least although prozzies are booming ha ha.

Not that i would of course as they wreak:lolol:

Anyway as above the holiday inn is superb to crash loads of you back without any probs and 40 bucks greattttt deal.
