Brighton 5 - Crawley Town 0

FA Cup at the Goldstone, for some unknown reason my old man took me in the Crawley end and it got jammed. I can remember the Albion scoring at the South end and I watched as a wave of fans from the south -> through the West Stand all jumped up in delight...as if like a Mexican wave of sorts....quite incredible slight delay I witnessed!
Anyway as it was getting so packed the stewards took all the parents & kids away and up the East Stand into a non-used area nearer the North Stand.

I had to run the gauntlet at Barnet V Albion in 1997 - The stewards thought I was mad.

Probably a mistake to wear the stripes.

:dunce:

I am quite a tall fella so the home fans must have thought I was a double-hard bastard with a neanderthal IQ & the common sense of an onion.

My company had a box at Shithurst Park in 1998 when Lombardo was player/manager & as Operations Manager I had to accompany clients 3 times to games - Each time I was warned by Palace Pikey's to remove the Albion stickers etc. from my car or have the bodywork redesigned.

:tosser:'s the lot of them.

Lombardo was a class act though.

I went in a box at Selhurst when they played Villa and Savo Milosevic scored the winner. Was shit. The food was awful, something like Scampi and f***ing chips.

Chav tossers.

Did a Palace game in the Holmesdale one year ...Danny Wilson scored for us and we ended up escorted around the pitch being spat at and drinks thrown at us..horrible ..but we won !

west ham this year - goal goes in and im out of my seat, until my mate who i was with punched me. luckily, i turned it into a gettingup with disgust moment

booing the albion players was quite ironic as well, and shouting bloody kill him virgs when that fight happened wouldve been dangerous, although everyone else was shouting and it was disguised

I'll be at the match, couldn't make Ipswich away, but have been offered a Saint's season ticket holders seat for the day. Coupe of cheeky beverages with some Saints fan friends then off to the quaint little St Mary's stadium!

I'll be the one singing 'small town in Brighton'!

I was in the home end at Palarse years ago when we were there. It was the game with about 4 or 5 penalties and we got stuffed. Wright and Bright were still playing fo rthem I think.

THe car bodyshop company must have loved you that year.
I was in the Charlton end for the recent Cup match in which our reserves romped to victory. When Palace scored all i did was give a loud groan and jitter in my seat as the stewards were kicking the clowntown fans out for even talking to loud. Bit like the withdean then i suppose.

The almost all-important 0-0 Reading away a couple of seasons back when Harty scored a perfectly good goal in the last minute which was disallowed. There must have been 50-odd Albion fans in my vicinity. Thought my mate was gonna rip my arm off he holding me down so tight. Throughout the game the disgusting homophobic abuse from home fans – men and "women" – spat at the Brighton players was something I never want to experience ever again.

I went in the shelf at Spurs for one of ourDiv 2 games in the late 70s. VERY scary - especially after my mate shouted "Go on, Paul Clark". I just looked at him and said "Who's he, then?". Got followed all the way to Seven Sisters station by a bunch of numptys trying to get us to react to their taunts.

West Ham away a few weeks back was a doddle compared.

I was also in the away end for the 6 - 0 mauling of Mansfield first game at Withdean. The South Stand was awesome that day - only time I've seen it front on during a game.

Spurs away in 1981

4 of us stood in the Home terracing around the halway line, with about 10 minutes to go Robinson scored the winner ! all of us managed to supress our joy except one bloke who shouted out "what a goal" to which some Tottenham lads clocked us saying "what are those c***s doing in our pen ?"

We got jostled a bit on our way out but nothing more !
