Truly awesome, if totally numbing experience. I don't know what was more depressing, the testimonies of the german guards who worked at Auscwitz, the collaboration of the French (and Channel Island) authorities in turning over the Jews to the Nazis, or the hopelessness and dejection of the people being herded onto cattle trucks and taken to their deaths.
It makes FG's casual racism and bigotry even more offensive than normal. You can bet that he would have been one of the first to collaborate with the Final Solution had he been around at the time.
