Arsenal choked big time and deserved to lose. Unlike the last league match between these two teams, the Gunners were beaten fair and square. Even when they were ahead, I was never confident that they could hold on to their lead.

They make too many costly errors in defence and seem to be incapable of slowing the game down and trying to keep possession and generally keeping things under control. Sad to say because Arsenal play attractive football, but this year it is the teams with the strongest defences who will finish off better in the league.

Still, :salute: to Man Ure! :censored:

Can't believe some of the comments on here. That was as superb a match as you will ever see, with absolutely everything including goals, feuds, cards, and great skill on show.

If you didn't enjoy that - you're dead.

Am I the only one who couldn't give a toss about the result then? Sounds a great game and will have to watch MOTD (which is defo on at 11.15).

No, you are not the only one. I don't support either side so I just enjoyed the game. AND IT WAS A GOOD GAME!

I think a war between France and Scotland should be encouraged. :jester:

I'm with you fluffster. I couldn't give a monkeys arse about the play off for second place in a league full of whining prima donnas(and ugly, talentless donkeys-aka palace).

Hear hear.

Didn't see it live but I watched the highlights on MOTD. Terrific stuff. Real needle between the two sides and some fantastic football too. Great entertainment.

Even Roy Keane's post-match interview was great. He still wanted to kill Viera and the match had long since finished. Splendid.

Hither (sometimes Thither)
As i was cycling home last night, i saw a group of about 20 blokes in leather jackets being led down the Holloway Road toward the match. They were surrounded by about 40 coppers, 20 sets of dog-handlers and 3 paddy wagons.
They were being jeered by passers-by.
I quite enjoyed that.
