Everybody slags Andy Naylor off but the older supporters will remember John Vinnicombe's contributions when he would say say in October 'that we will be relegated' and then when in a good position in April say 'I never doubted that we would be in the promotion chase' They write what sell newspapers and what people either want to read or causes an argument that they can muscle in on in later reports.

Yeah, you're right. I put 2 and 2 together and made 5. I did it because it's so depressing reading all the (in my view, unjustified) anti-Naylor stuff on this site.

Naylor comes across a lot of the time as a mealy mouthed smug git, a bit like London Irish but not quite as much arrogance.

Well, from my perspective, all I can say is that it does take a lot of smugness and mealy-mouthedness to make ad hominem attacks on a thread out of nowhere.
