Are you allowed to decorate your wheelie bin?

I would suggest that if the council REFUSE to collect your bin because of a few stickers then some people need talking to.

It is your RIGHT

That's what I thought! But then again this is Worthing.

My council allows me to decorate my garden rubbish bin with the sticker they send me to confirm that I have paid my £ 35 for the honour.

Our next door neighbour has a Scooby Doo sticker on her bin - she seems to have no problem getting it emptied.

We are allowed to in Wolverhampton. In fact, with the sheer amount of Student houses around, you'd be lucky to find a house with an undecorated bin!

You see all sorts in BN1 - spotty wheelie bins, stripey ones, ones with Hove B & B's face on them etc. One even has a complete countryside scene on it complete with birds, squirrels etc.

Hmmm...big England fan on the bin, looks a bit PIKEY doesn't it ?
Its the kind of thing I'd expect to see in Gillingham and Croydon.

The key word in your statement above is YOUR, it is in fact the property of the local authority that issued it and whilst I have no problem with said decorating( if it can indeed be described as) If the authority wishes to be, shall we say awkward, then they are within their rights to be, so to speak.

Gosh I sound like Lord Bracknell (better looking though with decent teeth)

Oh Lord, I have had that sinking feeling when I realise I had one of those moments, I am now a Pikey, Mrs Giraffe was right, I will hang my head in shame. What was I thinking! I blame the beer(s). What is worse is out of the three I posted above I now prefer the flowery one. Amazing what 12 hours can do!
