Are there too many hen nights and stag parties in Brighton?

I tend to find nights out in Brighton are great if you avoid West Street.

... I know my heart sinks if you ever find yourself trying to have a bite or a chat in a pub and suddenly there's a group of dowdy frumps screeching away,

well dont go to that sort of place to eat or chat. i dont know as i havent been in that situation, but i dont suppose the food is up to much in the stag/hen haunts anyway.

or of course head down to Hove and avoid altogether
