They need to bring in certainly a central defender and a midfielder before the end of the month if they are to feature in the top 3. I would have had them battling out for 3rd place with Arsenal before the start of the season but they need to play with more tempo at Old Trafford if they are to achieve that and Liverpool signing Mario Balotelli possibly gives them an edge as well. City and Chelsea should be some way in front occupying the top 2 places.
