Are ankle-length tan coloured suede boots COOL ?

I thought they went quite well with my jeans, so have just bought a pair. They're quite "cowboy" but without being pointy. A bit like this

but in suede instead of leather, so a bit lighter in colour and basically better looking. Its a bit of a breakaway from my usual attire, but I'm sick of trainers. I am however slightly concerned that this could in fact be a bit gay, and that subconciously my feminine side is starting to come out...I dunno. I think overall I am happy with them.

I have a red suede pair, so yes, of course they must be uber-cool.
The 60's are the decade of coolness, so anything retro from that era is da bomb.

Except afghan coats. They sucked then, and they'd suck now.
