I'm a Brighton fan, therefore I want Brighton to win every game they play. There are NO positives about last night, the performance was poor, the result was bad and out of the three competitions we'll be entering this year we're already out of one of them - so once again we'll have to sit on the sidelines with all the other losers and watch this year's equivalents of Palace and Cardiff have great runs.
Given the choice, and accepting that we can't win every game, I'd much rather have beaten Swindon and lost to Hull. I know that won't go down well with the "I'd rather get three points than win a cup game" lot but we've got 46 league games and we can afford to lose a few and still get promoted (or indeed win a few and still get relegated). Lose a Cup game and that's it, finished.
