i remember getting mine for my 10th birthday, a couple of days later we played away at chester. i promptly spent the entire game trying to keep my dog alive. i even name it gislason after the icelandic bloke that made his debut that day - unfortunately the dog died, which really summed up his performance as well

Was that the 1-1 draw when Paul Armstrong scored a last-minute penalty?

Ironically, I missed the equaliser and kicked a dog thinking we'd lost.

We got a load of these at uni, and to belay the boredom of living in halls, we used to kill them in imaginitive ways...

Dropping fire extiguishers on them.
Boiling them in a pan.
Popping them under the grill until gloopy brown.
Slamming them in door frames.
Microwave.
Flushing them down the toilet.
Using them as footballs / cricket balls.

The one on the grill made a distinctly eerie wailing sound as it melted....
