on a bet is almost as ignoble as hitting a woman.

So Atilla is basically a woman beater?

On any normal news day I'd have had my money on the Wooten Bassett thread as the most likely binfest cabdidate

This one is creeping into the reckoning, don't bet against it...

Attilla whelched on a bet,
He ain't paid the dough up yet,
If you see him sonny,
Say 'Give me the money',
or I'll post it on North stand Chet.

Is that good enough to take over his job as the PA?

Not really

How about:

Attila's most noteable gaffe
Was to welch on a bet with a Taff
Thanks to AFC Wimbledon
His credibility's gone
He's a poet? You're having a laff...

Yes. It's more Pam Ayres than Rupert Brooke, but definitely an improvement.

I can do Rupert Brook:

The Dead

"Blow out, you bugles, over AFC Wimble-don
There's none of these so lonely now they've gone
But, dying, has made us rarer gifts than gold
Their Plough Lane carcass lies in the cold
Sweet wine of youth: those years did slip
While Milton Keynes lord it in the Championship
That men call age: and those who would have been
The Crazy Gang of SW19"

To be fair he doesn't have to pay it until the 22nd December 09, but he should pay up IMO

This could be true.

What with all the administrations going on and points deducted, he could argue it's not a gimmee.

What would William Hill say to this one, I wonder.

For example, I bet 20 quid every year that we'll finish above Orient with a mate of mine, but he never pays me until the season has finished, even though sometimes I've won with 5 games to go.

( Betchya Wardy knows the answer )

As MENTIONED on the flouncing THREAD , we ALL know Attilla WELCHED on the bet but what was the bet as I can't REMEMBER it now.
It all GOES to show that you can't TRUST a 58 year old man who PONSES about in TIGHT black jeans and a BERET pretending to be in TOUCH with the YOUTH of today.
Let's HOPE the Albion do the DECENT thing and SACK him from the PA job before he brings anymore SHAME on the club.

ATILLA OUT

:angry::angry::angry:

Talking of welching on a bet who said CKR would never score more than 5 goals in a season and if he did they would kiss Dick Knights arse ???

If memory serve me correct he scored 7.........................
