You are quite entitled to pay cash on the day. For me using the smartcard and getting 10% back, over a whole season, seems to make sense.

I was only joking. Of course you can pay by cash but surely the 10% cashback makes it worthwhile to use the card? One free thai curry and beer for every 10 bought!
