Anyone ever walked a long distance footpath?

Anybody who has walked the South Downs Way between Lewes and Ditchling Beacon .....at dusk as it gets dark....can confirm that.....there is dreadful light pollution from both Sussex and Brighton Universities.
Why are the scum from Lewes DC, Norman Baker and the corrupt planning inspectorate unaware of this ?

I've only done some of it but the Pembrokeshire Coastal is worth a go.
