I’m confused… I switched to hard mode a few days ago as I was fed up with repeating yellows when I didn’t mean to, and yet it allowed me to repeat a yellow today. Is it just greens that are not allowed to be changed?

On hard mode I think the only thing you cannot do is not include a correct letter be it in the right place or the wrong place? So you can repeat a yellow placement I think.

Yes, it's frustrating that hard mode allows you to place yellows in the same place. I've done that more than once and cursed myself for doing it
