I was actually quite pleased with that, given the start.

But as the bloke who originally did Sooty - Harry Corbett - used to say: “bye bye everyone, bye bye.”
I used to hate Sooty when I was small - 65 years ago? It frightened me and I used to hide behind the sofa - honestly!
