The way the seasons going that 40 quid phone bill is still justifiable!

This is not just for our ticket office but for any number you ring starting 0845/0870 etc, go to SAYNOTO0870.COM - Non-Geographical Alternative Telephone Numbers and you can easily find the landline equivalent number.

If you are an IPhone user you can also buy an app called 'callsaver' for £1.99 that will do the neccesary for you, so the call either comes out of your minutes or is charged at normal landline rates. There's probably other apps which do the same but as i have unlimited calls to 01 or 02 numbers in my O2 package this paid for itself within days.

Same issue with bookies, however many supply a 'number from abroad' which can be used after removing the (44) country code & adding a leading zero, as appropriate
