Anyone been to GENOA in Italy?

cheers Washboard, I'm doing the exact same route as you to Genoa, same thing aswell, ferry (booked) leaves Dover about 9pm then share the driving with my mate through the night direct no stopping to Genoa....Hope to arrive around 1pm-2pm (mappy.com reckons 11hours so that allows for fuel stops) then hit the bar straight away!

Only got a toyota corolla (1996) so its shit and not worth worrying the tunnels about! gonna park it up for the whole week and drink beer!

currently checking trains to Monaco for a day trip, £33 per person return from Genoa....aint bad!

Go for it! The french roads are nothing like ours. On the way back, on the stretch of autoroute from Riems to Calais we went 35 miles without passing a single car/truck! And that was late afternoon on a Monday!

nice! we're expecting next to no traffic through the night in France
we may stop off at a B&B in Interlaken on the way back depending on cash, not exactly wealthy so having to keep that in check for the week!
