Following on from the Toby Inn Woodingdean closure, the Mill House in Portslade has apparently been shut down for various reasons. That said it was open illegally yesterday!!!

Used to be a reasonable boozer up til 10 years ago...

*awaits ignorant anti-Portslade comments...*

Just to pre-empt the first usual crap comment...The Mill House is NOT IN MILE OAK!!! It's at least half a mile from Mile Oak...

Rant over...

it's one of those pubs that manages to retain all the smoke... it can be like a smog in there!

Truly truly awful pub and no loss if it has shut down.

And no Jam the Man it wasn't ever a decent pub. Not even 10 years ago.

Must disagree there, had a few good nights in there, some with Jam The Man himself, although have avoided it like the plague in recent times. Shoreham is the place to drink :drink:

To be fair I was never a 'regular' in there.. but during the late 80's and early 90's it wasn't that bad.. was good when the landlord was a guy called Jim. That said his daughter was in the same year as me at school and even though she saw me in there quite often she barely ever said a word to me! Maybe I was too much of a boff... whaddya reckon 555Kaz? :lolol:
