They've made it into FourFourTwo magazine's list of the 25 most hated teams of all time, alongside the likes of Man United, Juventus during their bribery era, Dirty Leeds, Harald Schumacher's Germany 1982 chums and MK Dons.

Not bad for a non league side :lolol:

Borne out of pure jealousy and admittedly a lack of class from the current incumbents.

Man City not on the list then? Why not? Their owner runs a tin pot Arab state with appalling distribution of wealth and a shithouse human rights record, and their best player thinks its OK to sign a contract worth £200k a week then mouth off about the city on his holidays and refuse to ever return half way through said contract.

And possibly because Crawley's creditors were left with nothing when they were in financial difficulities only for them to go on to sped shed loads of cash on players.

Although this seems to be the norm for most clubs in administration.

I don't see how the fact Carlos Tevez is a moaner is a reason to hate Man City?
Do you also hate Boca, Corinthians, and Manchester United?
Besides, he said he'll never go back to Manchester after his contract has ended. Seems fair enough, it's his life.

I think it is because when they were due to play Man Utd in the 5th round of the cup, they didnt show them any respect during the week leading up to the game and came across as a bit arrogant in the press. I personally dont have an issue with this and if other clubs took the same stance they would be more successful. Good luck to them.

To clarify.

The article had various criteria which might lead to a team being hated, amongst them:

-having loads of money.
-being involved in dodgy financial shenanigans
-being dirty on the pitch
-being successful

There were a few more but I can't remember what they were.

Anyway, Crawley got points for being rich, their previous off-field issues (and presumably their manager's personal reputation/past too), and, naturally, for winning a lot last season. They were indisputably loathed by most of the BSP, and I've absolutely no doubt that Steve Evans will piss off the majority of League Two next season as well

Why should they be? Surely everybody loves Man City as they are going to be the most likely team to stop Manure winning the league again this year.

They are worse than Chelsea, why should spending vast sums of money equal success straght away?

So what? Not everyone shares this bizarre level of hatred you have against Man Utd.
