Perhaps the club will stop doing this now?
Don't see any benefits to it whatsoever.

Paul Barber said earlier, it's not the way we like to do business. The other clubs/agents who let the cat out of the bag.
It's a high stakes poker game and we haven't got the buy-in
Because we haven't bought a £75m striker we are doing it wrong I guess
The club didn't on either of the ones that have failed.
They did on this one. The Neto one wasn't formally announced I'll grant you but that also meant that the hype wasn't as big.
I'm really struggling to see how our stringent recruitment process picking up on the fact that two players we wanted to sign have problems, is a bad thing. A few years ago we wouldn't have picked up on it, would have signed them, and everyone would have berated the club for another expensive failure.
It's because we are such a professional outfit these days that we are picking up on these things, and not making the mistakes of the past.
Somebody please tell me where the negative is in that.

Not in this division they won't, can't.
We is now global news, t'is a shame the recruitment is still Southern League.
Ridiculous. Maybe time to take a break from NSC for a bit?
If our recruitment was truly as you say, we would not have just had two of the most successful seasons this club has ever known.
