YES! the old school spectrum was my first and i've still got it (but not used for ages so doubt it still works) but only had fun school 2 and 3 for it

and yeah agree with EK EVERY school had those old BBC run computers - legendary , the ammount of times we thought it was funny to make it say "f***" (sounded alot like fork now i remember it)

Then a Commodore 64. I actually had those drives and joystick too! (although the pic isn't mine)

Then an Amiga 500. can never forget the lovely noise mouse clicks made on it.

Blimey, for the sake of another 4k I could have been Buzz Aldrin.

it was an amstrad CPC 464, the games were on tape and took about half an hour to load. My fave game was joe blade

I remember trying to load cassette tape games using the Spectrum. The screen would flash red and blue borders, and hum annoyingly for about ten minutes. Before crashing.

But you did get quality games like this....

Then progressed to- whoooh!- an Atari ST. Playing anything on it for more than ten minutes would result in it overheating and the screen colours to go all trippy until you fanned it with a handy magazine or user manual for another ten minutes.

I never had a '64, but I still own a VCS2600, an Amiga 500, and a pair of Speedkings which replaced the Atari joysticks that got knackered out playing Kick Off 2!!

You could make it complex as well with IF and LET commands so it only done X lines.

You mean like this?

That was the good old days. And if you put a , at the end of line 30, it would Print across the page instead of down it.
