When did foster play for villa? Thought he came from Pompey?

He did come from Portsmouth. He joined Aston Villa from us before shortly moving to Luton.

GK Graham Moseley

CB Steve Foster
CB Martin Keown

MID Gareth Barry
MID Steve Sidwell
MID Dennis Mortimer

FOR Dean Saunders
FOR Sammy Morgan

What a class team!

Good team, but as long as we had Willie Irvine playing for us,he would still have scored a cracker!!!!!:clap2:

Didn't Des Bremner play for Villa, or have I got the wrong brother?

Jim Walker also played for Albion in midfield.

DES Bremner did indeed play for the Villa (European Cup winning side?)

KEVIN Bremner (his brother) didn't. He played for us.

Anybody know what happened to Michael Standing? joined Villa roughly the same time
as the Gareth Barry hoo-ha, from Albion youth. Never heard of him again!

Thanks for putting me right. I was not too confident when I wrote it, it's my age! I am stuck in the 70's and Kev Bremner came later.

Bill Glazier, are you sure? There must be an Albion keeper over the years who played for Cov. Sadly, Virgo hasn't played in goal for us yet.

If you put Virgo up front, you could then add the magnificent Steve Jacobs in defence. Oh, and Dave Sexton could be coach.

Ian 'Reggie' Goodwin could play at the back and thus release Virgs to play upfront.

Well Bill Glazier came from Brighton. I think he used to own a laundry business in Lewes Road (or so a story went when I was younger) Good one with Steve Jacobs - solves the defence/ attack problem in one go.

Having refereed youth football I think the problem is the parents who manage to convince themselves that their offspring is the next Wayne Rooney, and encourage bad habits by hurling advice/abuse for the whole match, before marching them home to a diet of Turkey Twizzlers and a week analysing the game on FiFA10 on the Xbox360
