I am not a fan of Amir Khan but all credit to him for his performance last night. He was very good and won virtually every round and completely out classed his opponent.

Hand picked opponent who couldn't break an egg, put him in with a puncher in a competitive fight

 Malignaggi is a one handed fighter, and has only stopped 5 opponents, was hardly going to be a threat to Khan. Victor Ortiz would stop Khan. And despite the defeat, i believe kevin Mitchell would cause him problems.

Hahahaha.........a legend! How cheaply that tribute is applied to sportsmen and women these days.

Khan has obviously got talent but he has yet to prove he anything close to a legend. Last night's defense against a limited fighter like Malignaggi was purely to get his feet under the HBO table and hopefully we'll see what he is capable of in next couple of years.

On the other hand I would have thought he has 'legendry' status amongst the legal community for avoiding punishment resulting from 3 serious driving incidents and a failure to appear at court.

After being clocked at 155mph by the Police legendary Amir failed to show up in court and produce his documents, and within 3 months he runs a red light at 47mph in Bolton city centre and ploughs into a pedestrian on a Pelican crossing breaking his legs.

In total no more than a 6 month ban and £1000 fine.

Last year another unfortunate accident resulted in a head injury to a cyclist although Khan was innocent this time................but then so was Steven Gerrard eh.

Legend? more like a complete ****.

Wasn't spectacular but did the job. Malignaggi offered nothing to the fight and Kahn just punched his way through him. You could tell is was going to be stopped sometime...

Not the Kevin Mitchell we saw last night. Admitted he hadn't prepared as he should of, which pissed Mr Warren off no end.

Mitchell stepped up in class and was clearly out his depth.

Khan vs Kastides would be a cracking fight.

BTW nice to see the Cockney Rejects back on the comeback trail.:lolol:

Not to mention a short one.

Khan can have a nice long reign as Champion provided they pick his opponents well. If they put him against Ortiz, Katsidis, Bradley, Alexander, Maidana or, god forbid, Pacquiao, then we'd see how world class he really is.
