I remember seeing some cracking concerts at the Event - 13 years ago. EMF, Utah Saints, Shamen. Do they still hold gigs there?

Remember seeing Inspirals, Soup Dragons, down there when it was the Top Rank Suite. Biggest mistake I made was when I went down there aged 19 to an under 18's night, wall to wall Brossettes and Jason Donovan. I was right naive in those days

The Funky Fish is decent, not full of !!!!! and the drink prices aren't bad. The music can be a little dull and it does get hella warm in there but all in all it's a decent little place.


As for the Event, well, I can't really pass comment having only ever been there once.

The only really good nights out at the moment are too be had at the Concorde.
