As a matter of interest. I currently pay £83 to Sky for line rental, broadband, plus all of Sky and BT sports.

This should be up for re-negotiation in six weeks.

Anyone managed to get a much better deal ? I suspect folk have.

Same package obtained in January for £49 (with Sky Q), although did have to agree to sign up for a further 18 months.

So all that Sky and BT sports included too for £49 ?

I LIKE that.

It shall be my point of negotiation.

I did the usual "I'm going to leave" etc etc etc, and would'nt take their first offer of £65. Insisted on cancelling and ended call. Within an hour I had a call back offering the deal but the downside was agreeing for 18 months - no month to month flexibility to cancel if I decided to get rid of it. One bit of advice would be to not take their first offer. Haggle and haggle again. I hate doing it as I feel really awkward but whether you like Sky or not, they can be really good in negotiating a deal.

Just to update - this didn't include the movie channels.

Thank you for this information. At what point did you contact them.? I'm about 3 months before completion of my contract. Is it worth contacting them early ?

And the irony being that the rule for not broadcasting Saturday 3.00pm matches was that it would affect attendances.
That's not the irony. That's the reason.
