Dowie, for all the reasons Pavilionaire said, and two others. He is ambitious, so are we, and Brighton are still despite last season a club on the way back from circa 2000. And he is intelligent.

If it's Rix I will be writing to the club. For both football and non-football reasons, I don't want him anywhere near the place.

. Also I'll throw Lou Macari's name into the hat. He's been out of the game a while but still has plenty of contacts and tactical nous.

And was also little leon's manager at Huddersfield. Could do worse.

I posted on another forum to ask Stoke fans about Cotterill as someone posted earlier "Why not?" There responce I wouldn't piss on that wanker even if he was on fire the unloyal scum! If he he ever came back to Stoke he would be killed! I think that is clear. :lolol:

I think Cotterill would take us up, if he hasn't already gone to Tranmere, although his loyalty is there to be questioned.

Whoever we sign we give our full backing. :)

I really would give the job to Booker. What have we got to lose? We are not panicing like last year, if it doesnt work we can change it in 12 months. If Booker is ever going to be no.1 this is his chance

So, who would you like to see in charge Gunter? The Cheeky Girls perhaps?

I'd go for Dowie (hasn't he got a degree in nuclear science as well). Could come in handy for building that rocket to launch at Reading.
I don't want Rix either, but I think you're all getting a bit hysterical about his "crime". Didn't he bed a 15 year old girl, consensually and not knowing her age? Meaning, I could see the point of a furore if he was a kiddie fiddler, but he's not. And I heard he was the real man behind the success at Chelsea when Hoddle and Gullit were there.

I am inclined to go for:

1) Dave Merrington
2) Steve McMahon
3) Liam Brady

All may not be available, (1) because of personal reasons (2) because he sees more opportunities up north and (3) for the same reason the other Managers left.

(1) is getting on a bit now, but this only seen as a disadvantage as he may not want the job.

Just to toss another name in to the hat ........ Terry Connor. Number 2 at Wolves and may fancy a no1 job.

As for the names being branded about at the moment, these are my thoughts for waht they are worth:

Rix: No thanks, would be a PR disaster especially as we are seen as a family club.
Dowie: Done well at Oldham and I think would be a success
N Clough: Too inexperienced and turned down for other football league jobs. Don't think DK would take another punt on an untried manager.
Booker: Not sure, hard to go from being 'good cop' to 'bad cop'. Would DK go for another internal appointment?
Cotteril: No thanks, plays long ball and has shown his lack of loyalty already.
Kinnear: Good manager, but was reportedly on £400k at Luton, so we would never be able to afford that
Merson: See N Clough

Wait a minute, you're judging him before he's even started. And if your excuse is that he's a sexual offender thats just stupid.

Why is it stupid to not want a CONVICTED sex offender in charge of the club?

Lou Macari is a good shout.
Still would like to see Joe Kinnear.

I don't care that much who's the next manager provided it happens quickly. No more than a week hanging around please.
