It was a great way to raise money and evern better because those fair weather fans had to shell out more where as the 'real' fans would have paid anyway.
It was done at Reserve games if there were no 1st team fixtures before the all ticket match.
The Barrow game was a 1st team game but would never had got over 20,000 without the Wolves tickets on sale.
I am sure I was at the Charlton game and I think there was also a game when Mullery turned out for the reserves which had a (relatively) huge crowd. If memory is not playing too many tricks it was Northampton and we won 7-1.
