To be honest, If you do pipe up, the stewards will be on you tootsweet. we have had a few "visitors" in the past, QPR wankers springs to mind, but we are a small ground and tend to know everyone around us, coupled with the fact that people are very pissed off at not been able to get tickets generally, I would seriously keep your heads down.

Also bear in mind that if you are escorted out of the stand, if your end is sold out you will probably be slung out of the ground
Thanks for the advise, just want to watch my team and I know when to keep my mouth shut ...

Don't worry about not singing up with the home supporters, you'll be with plenty of company. :jester:

True, but then what would be the poiint of having say a 48,300 capacity all seater stadium that is barely half full week in week out.........

I heard they had put up a tarpulin roof for the away supporters of 'big' clubs who sit in the south stand.

Current Form

http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/oform.html

Sunderland are third, Albion way down in 13th

5 Sunderland (3) 8 4 2 2 15 11 4 1.87 1.37 1.75 14 WdWwDlwL
13 Brighton & Hove Albion (18) 8 2 4 2 8 9 -1 1.00 1.12 1.25 10 lLdDwWdd

Sunderland are third in the away current form as well:

http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/aform.html

This is below Derby who have won their last five successive away League games. (They are away to Rotherham this weekend.) I do not recall the Albion ever doing that, although they may have done back in 1971. (I have lost by Albion records book in a fire.)

http://www3.mistral.co.uk/timc/bhares/sequence.htm

Not since 1936 have the Albion won five successive away games!

Albion's results against Sunderland

http://www3.mistral.co.uk/timc/bhares/clubs/sundland.htm

Most memorable:

25/2/78 Sat. FL D2 (h) W 2-1 0-1 E.Potts 2 25,771

Two late goals from our substitute, playing on the right wing.

Notable:

26/8/72 Sat. FL D2 (h) D 2-2 0-2 A.Murray, W.Irvine 15,906

I don't actually remember this one, but I would have gone as I did not miss a home match that relegation season. It was getting rid of Willie Irvine that caused the relegation in a season when the run of successive defeats was 13 on the trot.

Brighton v Sunderland
Brighton captain Charlie Oatway completes a three-match ban so Alexis Nicolas is likely to deputise alongside Richard Carpenter.
Chris McPhee is not fit for this game, and Ben Roberts is out for eight weeks after an accident in training.

Sunderland are unchanged and have striker Michael Bridges back after illness but are expected to stick to Marcus Stewart and Stephen Elliott.

Carl Robinson has a sore foot but is expected to be available.

Good stats! i'll take that.
