To all those albion fans travelling to Euro 2004, can anyone suggest any decent internet sites for flights and accomodation?
Have had a quick look around and some of the flights seem well expensive..

If you're not on a good easyjet route and are having to look at scheduled flights with other carriers (eg to Porto) we booked Lufthansa via Frankfurt as it was about £130 cheaper each than BA direct.

Has the added bonus of being on a flight from Germany to Porto two days before the Germany v Holland match in said city. Now where's that orange T-shirt...everyone on the orangensaft...and a satsuma please.

We got Heathrow-Lisbon return with Iberia, arriving on the day of the England-France game, for £155 (a week before the draw was made).

Yeah, I'm almost embarassed about it. :lolol:

got tickets from flight seekers 175.00 to lisbon, you r find it a nightmere around lisbon and surrounding towns but cascais has some still cheapish,to be honest you have left it late their expecting a minium of 100,00 english to start, all campsites are full, best bet is a villa on algarve, but its a 3/HALF hour car ride or 5hrs on train,we have been waiting to confirm our accm in cascais for 5 bha fans, how many are their of you?.try turismo de lisbon, the official euro site link to accm ,travelocity

We're all driving down from Reading to Portugal on 12th June. Insure ourselves on a mate's car for a couple of weeks and share out the driving. Sleeping wherever we can, but really don't care all that much.

Can't wait. :clap2:

I have an amazing stroke of luck as one of my best mates actually lives in Lisbon and I am dossing with him for the duration of the tournament. I am unsure of air-travel at that time of year as we are driving down to Lisbon but for the friendly in Febuary I have booked flights with TAP-Air Portugal. They fly from Gatwick and I will be going direct into Lisbon, where again I will be staying with my mate.

I hope that helps.

I gave up with accommodation via internet sites (this was before the draw too) as everything I looked at was full. I caved in and gave it to a travel agent to sort out (PST in Battle) who eventually managed to get me what I wanted. All flight tickets and rail travel too.

They went to Caravela who are a Portugal specialist.

Good luck! :D

The majority of accomodation in Portual is only available though a central tourism agency, so travel agents are the only way to go (literally).

Thaks fore info. Had a look at the possibilty of getting the Eurostar to Paris then the Sud Express down to Lisbon which looks like quite a good bet.
Will carry on searching for accomodation and will hope to get something.

The Wycombe programme has a full page advert for HBA TRAVEL 'Portugal Accommodation Specialists' who look to be offering accomodation for Euro 2004. The number is 01273 685111 and they live at 80 Ditchling Rise, Brighton. Maybe worth a call?

Got flights to Faro for GPB170 on Monarch. still available, but not great for Engalnd games.

Staying in Lagos (Algarve). Was going there anyway though, and I've just got tickets for the Croatia game, so I'll drive up to Lisbon for the day.

Me and 7 others have a cottage out in the sticks about 30 miles from Porto. Flights we got via Iberian Airlines at £189 each return. That price was about a month ago.

All told, without penny-pinching, we are going for two weeks and it is costing us about £725 each including flights, accommodation, match tickets and car hire.
