Advertising on the Beeb?

The BBC does have it's own commercial arm that is allowed to generate revenue outside of the license fee - how else do you explain magazines such as Top Gear, BBC Good Food etc etc. See no reason why this couldn't extend too events and sponsorship.

what are you saying? BBC is so much better than any of ITV, Channel 4 etc etc

Their website is LADEN with ads for non-UK readers at this stage, I'm expecting their Irish version channels (which we do pay for on cable and satellite) to start taking commercial ads where they currently have promos for the digital switchoever, etc...
