Superb goal line clearance kicked straight into Ankergrens grateful hands near the end.
El-Abd had a stormer of a game tonight. He looks so confident now compared to a year ago.

Greer made a few brilliant tackles near the end I thought.

That one from El Abd, when he ran forty odd yards and thundered into the bloke had to be absolutely spot on or he'd have joined Calderon in the showers. Happily, it had the pleasing effect of both winning the ball and leaving the Charlton player in a shuddering, forlorn heap on the floor too.

Doubt he will play right back in Calde's absence as he's not good enough attacking down the wing. Bennett will probably play right back unless we sign someone on loan. Perhaps we will get Hoyte back on loan from Arsenal.
