I often work around the Shipbourne area and saw these three come over a few weeks back.

Fabulous sight and aircraft. Easy on the eye but not as effective as the early Mitsubishi zero in battle

I couldnt afford a flight in a Spitfire, but next Tuesday is my fathers 80th, so Im taking him on a surprise tour of the restoration hangars at Biggin Hill. Hes a huge engineering enthusiast, and loves Spitfires, Hurricanes etc. They currently have Spitfires, Hurricanes, a 109, a P51 Mustang, an a few other war-birds being restored, so it should be a great day out. Will also get to see any Spitfires taking off etc. on flights. plus taking a visit to the museum around the corner. Cant wait.
