I'm building a time capsule for my lad Tommy who was born in 2010. So far it has:

- A completed world cup wallchart and some world cup bunting
- The Brighton programme from when he was born
- Schotts almangac 2011
- Some CD's (The XX as Mecury winners, LCD Soundsystem and Caribou)
- A vuvuzela
- A checked shirt (seemed to be everywhere in 2010)
- NME, Four Four Two and Esquire from the month he was born
- The Guardian, Argus and Mirror from the day he was born
- The ticket stub and programme from the Brighton game I attended the night before he was born

He will also have the current Brighton shirt with a name on it (one of the current squad - I'm still not sure who yet).

What else is iconic from 2010 that should go into the Time Capsule?

maybe something like Wired or The New Scientist but I suppose you don't want it too magazine heavy.

in the observer they had a little piece on the 3D printers/model makers that you can buy for around $1500, i bet they'll be everywhere in 20 years, though i'm not exactly sure of their practical use.

why not record match of the day and stick that on a dvd?

great CDs, certianly the sound of the new future and all classics!

Announcement of Kate and Wills wedding? As your son gets older Wills may be his king for a considerable part of his life.

A printout of this thread.

We can all get an invite to his 18th party then.

A printout of the League One table. :)

Oh and one of the Championship table for good measure. Your boy may take some convincing that Palace were once a team that didn't need to play in round one of the FA Cup.

Maybe a TV Guide / Sky Magazine.

A shopping receipt from Tesco or Sainsburys. So he can see how much things cost when money was still around.
